Dear MCLL,
Please see below a message from District 3 LL Administrator. As noted below, as of this moment, we do not have enough people to have a board for the 2025 season. We need volunteers to be the President, Vice-President, and Player Agent. These are the main people that make the league run. I am willing to stay on the board to help with the transition for the new board. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me, [email protected]. In order to have a season, we need these volunteers to come forward quickly.
Thanks again for support!
Aaron Livingston (2024 MCLL President)
Mid-Carolina Families:
My name is Brian Weseman and I am the Little League volunteer District Administrator for the area. Many of you know me or have seen me over the years. I remember when Mid-Carolina first joined Little League and it was an honor to help you be a part of that. One of my favorite places to watch games is Pomaria. But what I like most about Mid-Carolina are the people. You are a very caring group that loves baseball and softball and your community.
You may or may not know, but the past Mid-Carolina board is having a hard time finding people to run the board this coming year. They have held two Annual Meetings with low attendance and have not had much response when they reached out for people interested to be on the board.
The last thing I want to see happen is that Mid-Carolina does not have a board this year, and in turn there is no season this year. But at this point, it is headed in that direction. This means that there are several children that may not be playing baseball and softball. I have heard people say that they will play at Irmo, and that is a possibility. However, Irmo is typically very full and since players from the Mid-Carolina area would be out of boundary, they would need to get waivers approved to play, provided Irmo has space.
I would like to work with you to make sure that Mid-Carolina has a league this year and that the children in your area can continue to play ball with their friends and in the supportive community they have. I understand that there are a few people willing to help on the board, but no one is identified to take on some of the leadership roles.
I am willing to work with anyone that takes on the leadership roles and walk them through the process and meet regularly with you to help make it as smooth and easy as we can. So I am asking you to consider helping out your league this year by volunteering to be on the board. If you are interested, please email me at [email protected] and I'll get in touch with you. We need a total of 7 people for the board.
Let's do this! Let's Play Ball!
